EMBO strengthens existing collaborations with Japan

The highly active EMBO community in Japan continues to expand with two new associate members in Japan elected, bringing the total number to 22. Embo has been taking steps to work much closer with Japan through EMBO Scientific Exchange Grants, Core Facility Fellowships and New Venture Fellowships. And, organisers of workshops, practical and lecture courses in Japan can apply for funding through an agreement between EMBO and The Company of Biologists.

The ongoing EMBO | Japan Virtual Lectures facilitate continued exchanges during the pandemic, are open to scientists in Japan and Europe, and followed by ‘meet the speaker’ sessions for early career scientists at the Japanese host institutes.
